Empire Magazine compiled a list of the top 100 film characters of all time based on a user poll. For the most part, I agree with this list. I was disappointed, however, that Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka did not make the list. What do you think of the list?

A lot of solid choices, but the thing about movie-related lists is that they tend to focus on popular movies rather than movies that were actually the most interesting or well put-together. Seriously, did there need to be five characters from Star Wars? I mean how could Princess Leia be higher-ranked than Scarlet O'Hara. Shouldn't Audrey Hepburn be on there somewhere?
